Steinbach Post
Published in Steinbach, MB, 1913 1963; German. Succeeded the "Volks-Zeitung" and "Volks-Bote", (1913 1916). The "Volks Bote" was published in Giroux, MB till May, 1915 and then in Steinbach. The "Der Volks Bote" changed to "Steinbach Post", June 9, 1916, and then to "Die Post" between 1928 and 1931 and back again to "Steinbach Post" between 1932 and 1935. Published in Steinbach till 1966 and then in Omaha, NB. Succeeded by "Die Post", 1964 and by "Die Welt Post and der Staats-Anzeiger" in 1971. In 1977 the "Mennonitische Post" began publishing in Steinbach as a new serial (i.e. Vol 1, No. 1), but viewing itself as a continuation of the tradition of the "Steinbach Post".
