Eduard and Katharine had two children, Erna (1908-) and Eugenie (1912-). As a young family [before 1913] they moved to Omsk and later to Novo-Nikolayewsk where he was employed by the International Harvester Company as a sales representative. During the First World War he was a civilian prisoner of war in Tobolsk, Siberia. The Wehrmann family immigrated to Canada in 1923 where they made their home in Steinbach, St. Anne, and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
