Historical note

Jacob H. Enns, minister and farmer, was born on October 23, 1913 in Teddington, Saskatchewan. He was the second of two surviving sons born to Jacob J. and Helene (nee Hoeppner)Enns. While he was still a young child his mother died and his father remarried Margareta Neufeld who became his step-mother and gave him three more half siblings. He entered the ministry to assist his father who was also a pastor. Enns married Helena Bergen on June 23, 1935 and together they had five children. He was ordained in 1942 at Bethania Mennonite Church in Lost River, Saskatchewan. In 1955 he moved with his family to British Columbia where he first helped in the German speaking church there but then later was asked to organize and lead an English Church, Kelowna Mennonite Mission Church. Jacob H. Enns was killed in a car accident in March 1979.

Scope and content note

This fonds contains one sermon titled "The Preachers Dilemna" based on Ecclesiastes 1:1-14.
